Ranged Cavalry upgrade path suggestion

Problem is with Huns, Mongolians and Arabs with their ranged cavalry. All the bombardment bonuses gone when they upgrade to melee cavalry or further. A new line of mobile ranged units should be added to solve this such as

War Chariot --> Cavalry Archer -(long time)-> Self-Propelled Artillery(doesn't have bonus against cities) --> Rocket Artillery

Ranged Cavalry units also should have lesser range than foot archers, can move after attack, have more movement points and weak against ranged attacks so they can be very effective at open field but weak at sieges as they were historically.

Cavalry Archer used by many nations such as Japanese, Hungarians, Byzantines, Assyrians, Russians, Persians, Native Americans and was formidable for a long time. So i hope for a future fix to add cavalry archer as a unit.

Also

Archer --> Crossbowman --> Mortar --> Self-Propelled Artillery --> Rocket Artillery

seems a better upgrade path for archers too rather than machine guns.

I've been wondering about these as well because i hate that you lose those promotions from the special units.

I agree we need more ranged cavalry too.

I was wondering if, now that they have introduced 1 range units that ranged cavalry should be 1 range and just a lot faster than archers. making them more like tanks than fast artillery in the early game. You could also make tanks 1 range and then upgrade cavalry archers to tanks.

so it's be:

chariot archer -> horse archer -> heavy horse archer -> cavalry (make it a 1 range unit) -> tank ( this is because the speed matches, make it a 1 range unit ). Knights can then upgrade to mechanized infantry and infantry can upgrade to something like a commando or special ops unit.
