RB30 - Open SG - Irrational Isabella

I guess I can give it a whirl. Got it!

Edit: How in the world is anyone to roll a 1 with 2 die?

Ah I see ... using big words on us simpletons huh? :p Thanks.

While stricken in bed with illness, Issa was told by a wise man (he may be bald, skinny, and extremely tanned but he is wise indeed) that she needs to convert to be rid of her illness. Thus, the moment she stomped Fickle Ferdy's behind asside, Bella declared her people will be heathens no more. Thus, she will rid herself of her illness and retains her mental state once again.

A feathered fellow comes asking for passage through he land unmolested, Bella agrees on the condition that she be the only one allowed to molest him. She rather likes his feathers.

Then a old man from afar also asked for passage,

followed by a middle aged bearded man.

Civ4ScreenShot0002-8.jpg

Bella likened herself to being surrounded by men, yound and old alike, thus agreed to all.

Out of nowhere a woman of all thing seeks passage, Bella does not like other women near her men and thus refused her vehemently.

Finally the day has ended, and she can now sleep in peace knowing that tomorrow will be a different day with a different mentality....

Talk about thread monitoring. 2 minutes after the game is posted...
Nope - I just happened to read the post. I remember when we use to play games like this ... oh the good old days.

I'm sick of this striving for improvement. I wish that today was just like yesterday. And that tomorrow is just like today. Well, as I am Queen Isabella …

It shall be!

Life is now good. But wait, my holiday swim hole from yesteryear is now under Japanese control …

Bella-0042.jpg

This will not do. How am I meant to enjoy my old swimming hole if it is full of Japanese? Well, I'll just drop in on Tokugawa and ask for it back …

Bella-0037.jpg

Well, ok then …

Bella-0039.jpg

However, things didn't go all that well. Oh the battle for Osaka was straight up and down … no, apparently, one man didn't get the memo about no research and …

Bella-0035.jpg

Well, I'll deal with him after my swim … see you tomorrow (which … thank goodness … will be just like today!)

Yesterday, today and tomorrow

Spoiler the dice landed on its side first time I rolled which meant that I had to break one of the rules ... sorry Kylearan ... log :

OOC said:
we have iron, mined, roaded near the capital!
I set the next tech as SAILING because everyone has good memories of when they went sailing!
The Americans completed the oracle

At approximately 1:15 the next morning, Izzy awoke with a start, stating, "Fifteen is a good number." She immediately fell back asleep.

The next morning, she glanced at the nearby swim hole and said, "What good is this? It is still filled with these men with squinty eyes. What does it matter? I can't swim." Nevertheless, she decided she wanted that swim hole for her people to enjoy. "What's this?" she said, "My people are slaves? WHAT FOOL DECIDED THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA?"

Civ4ScreenShot0020.jpg

And with that, Izzy decided that tribalism was the way to go.

The next day, Izzy pondered to herself, "Osaka is such a foolish name for our newest tribal village. I hereby proclaim that it be called FIFTEEN!" Of course, this didn't happen until she realized she had proclaimed the name change to herself.

Izzy was brought news that her good friend, El Fine had been slain by a squinty eye. She was furious. "BRING THE TROOPS TO AVENGE HIS DEATH."

And so the chariots began their march upon Edo.

Little casualties were had and Edo was soon a new tribal village.

Civ4ScreenShot0021.jpg

"What a stupid name. Quince is SO much better."

A couple more men requested to see Izzy, and she was flattered. She accepted to both of them. One which took a second glance to confirm it was a man, and one with a silly crown of leaves on his head.

Before Izzy went to bed again, she began to pity the squinty eyes. She decided that after that city... Kyoto or something, was taken, she'd rename it in honour of the squinty eyes. It was to be named... Jugo. Then again, she could easily forget the next day...

Civ4ScreenShot0022.jpg

And so she prayed, uttering a single word to bless the following day. "Fifteen," she said.

ok, i will take a turn in a few hours.

I'm surprised we got a military up and running so quickly! I recall we had 1 warrior protecting our 2 cities when I took over.

I was going to settle the 'Fifteen' location in my turnset but squinty eyes beat me to it

Can anyone see screenshots in my post? I know they were there earlier today, and the links are still in the post, but they're not showing up on my computer for some reason.

Its surprising how many chariots (3-4 rounds per) you can get out of 2 cities in 12 rounds with the use of only 1 whip.

I see the battle of the swim hole is going well! Keep up the good work.

I have no idea how long it has been since I placed an open SG. When was HNDY16 run? It was Civ3 as my notes talked about "aqueducts to get above size 6".

Does this war with Japan show how wonderful Spain is? The answer is no, so we sign peace.

What type of silly name is Leningrad? Our capitol is now 8th wonder. The Parthenon shall be our start toward having a wondrous nation. Why don't we have a coastal city so that I can build a giant statue of myself? I order the scientist to learn as fast as possible. This idea of literature with national epic, heroic epic and the mega Izzy Library sounds wonderful. Our home guard is now named "we are the best".

310 BC
Why aren't all our workers by 8th wonder to help chop forest for the glorious Parthenon?

265 BC
I am ANGRY with Bismarck. How dare he build the glorious Pyramids.
(IT) Someone called Alexander doesn't like the Incan. I want to own the wonderful building he is standing in front off. However, I don't care about his silly request. All civs should have the right to share our wonderful life.

250 BC
(IT) This Elizabeth woman doesn't like Germany. You are below our elite nation, so go away.

220 BC
(IT) Huayna offers something called "fur". You aren't getting any of our superior cattle for it. You should know that you are beneath us. Go away.

145 BC
(IT) Some Civ got a great person. Why doesn't the great and wonderfully elite Spanish nation have one? We are the greatest people one the planet after all.

130 BC
I don't care how many people die. Build my Parthenon NOW. The world needs to see what our highly elite engineers can do.

115 BC
Ok, start a small library to figure out how to build a big library.

I don't know what to do. There are no wonders at the moment...
