Reaching Alpha Centauri before 1AD?

Is it possible? What's the earliest year you've gotten to reach Alpha Centauri? The best I've managed to do so far is get Computers at around 500BC, and I did manage to get a space structure up in space at 1000BC in the SNES version.

depends on civ 1 version, scenario, situation at gamestart, number of opponents, game levels

the Number One in the SCORE TABLE / hall of fame
will be that CFF member who lands his SS on Alpha Centauri
earlier than anybody else.
if more contestants' Space Ships
reach "ALPHA CENTAURI" that same (earliest) year
the SCORE and Percentage will make the difference - of course...
