Reconstruction of the war torn lands

We are a rich nation. Should we spend our money on reconstruction efforts in the war torn lands we have recently liberated?

Minimum criteria is that we do not go below 1000G, but this still leaves us over 2000G and over 100gpt with which to order rushes. As we have captured the Sistine Chapel and the Pyramids we should expect these cities to grow quickly.

The culture ministry recommends that we rush Temples in each of these cities for the next Turnchat and then start on Cathedrals. These two builds will give us the biggest 'bang for the buck' as far as happiness and culture. An exception to this is for Salamanca for this city the Culture Ministry recommends building up culture as quickly as possible once the city is no lnger resisting. A second exception is Yatta, it seems we are to build the FP in this city, the Culture Ministry recommends rushing a Courthouse here first and seeing if we can get WLTSD to get less waste while building the FP.

The hope is that some of these cities could get into WLTSD and maybe get up to 2 or 3 shields per turn.

Another option will be to rush Libraries. The culture ministry does not recommend this at this time.

Actual budget outlay will be coordinated with the Domestic Ministry.

2) I will open a budget thread for requests in the government forum. Please be sure to include your requests in that thread, and we can go from there. Everyone wants a share of the budget, and it is most fair to make a proper request.

3) What the ministers can decide on, then can be polled to the people. This way, we don't spent too much.

This about determining what the people want in the way of culture. Once my other poll on culture policy is finalized then I feel I could bring the budget discussions straight to your budget thread. In this case, there isn't time for that as the next TC will be before both the culture directions could be set.

Believe me Moth, I'm for keeping these cities cultured and happy, but it is best to send everything through the ministries (believe me even the Minister of Defense wants to build these cities up). Then we send our plan to the people for approval. This way we don't overspend. That's what I'm worried about. There is way too many things to spend this money on.

What you are doing is truly a slap in my face, if anything.

Heyheyhey, take it easy, we should add disbanded shields from Veteran Swordsmen to the minor population 1-3 cities, BEFORE we expend valuable gold on these. This way we maximize our gold usage.

Actually Minister Zarn, I see nothing majorly wrong with this information-gathering poll. We do have a Cultural war going on, especially in Salamanca and Yatta. I also see Minister Provolution's post as a good thing and feel it should be done before any rushing.

I'm for culture and everything, but why don't we spend the money on troop upgrades instead?
