Regarding Giga World Maps

Hello, I've recently downloaded a few Giga maps for Civ II (Original) and it keeps generating the map like this

Is there any way to fix this?

I already have realworld.mp and that's great, but I was looking for a bigger world map without having to play on MGE.

The official map editor doesn't support gigamaps. Mercator's modified editor for Test of Time does.

But I don't have test of time, just Civ:II and Fantastic worlds. Is there any mod so I can use a giga map on that game?

It works with MGE and ToT. I'm not aware of any such mod for FW, but you can upgrade to MGE using Cedric Greene's patch. If you prefer FW for most games, copy the Civ2 directory first. You can have multiple versions of Civ2 installed simultaneously.

i have Test of time and the giga maps work very well. its a official copy of test of time and i bought it at chapel hill mall several years ago. im sure this game is no longer published so you cant buy brand new. but check ebay and you will be all set. test of time is the best version of Civilization 2 and you can play up to 4 maps in one game universe.

i came into this chat thread becasue i wanted to see if anyone has made any more giga maps that would fit the 254 by 230 tile size. im specifically looking for giga maps that fit this size. becasue im working on test of time exstended original and i have two versions of the game one the original version and another is the original but modified so i can play 4 maps on exstended original.

the giga map that id like to have a a gigamap that centers on the continent of Antartica and only shows a small piece of the tip of south america. im also willing to except a giga map of this size for mars or earths moon (luna) thing is i cant find the link on here were i downloaded my 4 map upgrade. problem i had was eventhough the universe was made much larger the amount of civilization stayed the same. meaning 255 cities was still the maximum. but im willing to look over any gigamap that fits the 254 by 230 size to try get a feel for the possibilities and see how i could intregrate the diffrent earth maps together. i once seen a gigamap centered on australia and another on south east asia and the scale of both maps was the same plus a map of india that was of similar scale but i dont have a terrain editer capible of handling the 254 by 230 tile size but if i ever got acess to this utility i could certainly create some very great maps would only take a few months to make the one that intregrates giga australia south east asia and india together. if i made the 254 by 230 tile map i could use it in my exstended original project.

my advice to you mr communism is to buy test of time. then you can play giga maps with ease and check out my exstended original scenarios.
