I don't know how to change this... I don't know if this is answered and I looked at other mods to see if I did anything different. But this must be in a different file or something because whenever a civ founds a religion it's either a default kind of circle thing or a religion from the original game...
Religious icon when it's in a city

Sorry, but I don't understand your question, and, judging from the lack of replies from the other forty-odd people who have looked at your post, neither do they.
A religion newly founded by you always brings a pop-up display naming the religion, and the icon for that religion then appears in the city bar and on the city screen, top right. Of course it's a religion "from the original game", since no new religions have been introduced (unless somebody has modded one in).
This does not happen when a religion spreads to another city or is founded by a rival civ: this brings a popup message during the inter-turn display, and again the icon is added to the city.

In the city window (you know when I inspect the city or whatever...(I don't know the technical terms)) the proper icon is in the upper right of the screen. However in the world map or whatever, above the city name and all that where it shows the religions in the city, it shows up as islam or christianity or some other religion that I don't have in my mod. I have my own icons that I wish would show up but I don't know how to make that happen. Also next to a leaders name when you bring up the score it does the same thing.
I'm asking how to change that and make it show the icons I want it to instead of the cross or the Islam symbol or the star of david or something.

The icons used on the city bar and scoreboard are part of the font files. (GameFont.tga and GameFont_75.tga) You'll need to change them to match your religions although working with those files is a big pain.

I read the thread further and it said that the positioning of the icons in the .tga file determined what showed up. So I moved things around and this happened.
Sorry if it's small I tried to resize it so it wasn't so huge (1680x1050 is the resolution I use...)
Basically what happened is the right icon shows up in that little box asking if I want to change my state religion but the wrong icon showed up where it shows the religion in the city.
P.S. - Sorry about all the edits I just don't want to double/triple post... it ain't proper =P
