If Venice is in your game and you have Religious Texts belief, convert Eric asap. With so many trade routes he will easily spread it for you and with more pressure. I didn't know why I was seeing such high pressures on the other end of the world until I saw his trade routes.

Unrelated: gov must have a file on every civfanatic with all these buzzwords.

I was playing as the ARABS and I also noticed that RELIGIOUS TEXT compounded with my unique ability of having 50 percent more RELIGIOUS PRESSURE along my trade routes. So the only wonders I built in the ancient-classical eras were Petra and Colossus. This really helped my plan of ISLAMIC DOMINATION by mostly passive sea trade routes alone. I was saving up on faith to get dozen PROPHETS to build HOLY SITES all around MECCA. It was a wide empire and the religious pressure for even small far-flung cities like BENGHAZI was ridiculous with all the pressure bonuses.

Does anyone know if BOMBERS get the ATTACK bonus when BOMBING cities that follow a RELIGION with the "JUST WAR" belief? Does it count THE BASE city the bomber is attacking from, or the TARGET CITY?

One more reason to go into advanced settings and make sure Venice is in the game...

Can't resist:
In my recent game as the Huns, I wanted to see if his +1 hammer on pastures would be of much use in a science game. But, as usual, I had to smack down some jerk trying to take over the world. To take out runaway America, I used a nuclear attack on Jerusalem and another nuke in Philadelphia to destroy his only source of uranium and airforce at the same time. I sent a cavalry to ensure they didn't repair the mine and stole a worker from them. It turns out they, in turn, had stolen it themselves, so I decided to give it back to the Arabs to ensure Harun would renew our DoF. After wiping out the US air force, it was a trivial matter to mop up with bombers and cav to tap out his cities.

One thing I wanted to point out after re-reading this thread for a laugh:

It's not "Eric" Dandolo, it's "Enrico", which is an Italianized version of "Heinrich", which is "Henry" in English.
