Remove Great People Era skipping

I've had cases when the game would skip to Medieval Great People if either
1) I was tech leader and researched a tech or civic from the second half of the Classical era (so something like Shipbuilding or Recorded History) or
2) I was tech leader and another civ reached the Classical era (possibly beelined a tech/civic from the second half in this case, can't say for sure)

I find it pretty annoying, I can't remember a game where all Great People from the Classical era were recruited (it's often classical Great Merchants or Great Writers who are skipped). And that's on Marathon with even further increased research cost...

So has anyone actually managed to make a mod that disables all Great Person skipping entirely then? (all GPs recruited every single game)

Or has anyone at least had any insights on how this could be done?

That would have the unintended side-effect of making it so that they all cost the same though, right? And they also wouldn't appear in chronological order. Meaning either you couldn't recruit any GP at all for the first 3/4 of the game if you left the default information era GP cost, or you could easily recruit information era great people in the Ancient age if you set the cost low.

Isn't there a way to do it without just setting them all to Information Era?

I know it was a long time ago, but I just now started playing civ 6, noticed the same problem - and I found the solution!
Just make every tech and civic from medieval era be moved to classical and after that move all 2 eras down, so renaissance is also moved to classical, industrial to medieval etc. That will make the game stay much longer in classical era and never exceed modern, so great people will be available for longer!

Ofc I also had to make some other tweaks for it to work properly:
- Change later great generals abilities to affect units from earlier eras, because if tech for unit is moved 2 eras down, game will consider this unit to also be from that era.
- Change great scientists abilities to boost technologies from earlier eras.
- Change great people base costs in Eras.xml to be lower in atomic and information eras, because if players won't ever reach those eras, they will always be at 1,3 and 1,6 cost multiplier.
- Change Seoul and Vilnius suzerain bonuses in Leaders.xml to give 2 boosts instead of 1, because you will have less era changes during the game.
- Change Routes.xml to unlock more advanced road types earlier.
