Renaming Units in Editor

If I rename the "paratrooper" to "special forces" will the change be made throughout the civilopedia? Its not necessary to change it but if it can be done then why not, eh.

I've thought about creating an entirely new unit, but it doesn't seem necessary.

Nope. The editor just modifies the .bic file, not Civilopedia.txt as well. The unit data will still be pointing to PRTO_Paratrooper however so at least you'll be able to find the relevant entry easily enough to edit the text for it.
