Replace jungle with more forest?

I hate jungle. AIs that spawn in jungle are no challenge. Is there a way to use the editor to replace jungle with a second kind of forest? Or at the least can you just remove jungle without screwing up the game? I always use the randomly generated maps.

You can decrease the amount of workers turns it takes to clear swamp and jungle tiles. You could also increase the food production of those tiles.

Also for all AIs except for the Maya you can increase their workers production. Only the Maya prioritize them.

Yeah, for all-random maps, the best bet would likely be to create a modded .biq where you increase the Jungle (and Marsh?) terrain-yields, and/or the resources available, to make those tiles less useless. You can also turn off the "Causes disease" property.

If you don't want to go that far, then the best you can do is set the map-type to "Dry" when you generate it, which will reduce the relative freqency of all Forest, Jungle and Marsh tiles.

You should have a look at Yoda Power´s Giant Earth Map that you can find here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/giant-earth-concept-map-256x256.492450/

In that map (that also is an epic game) Yoda Power replaces the jungle terrain by splitting it up into tropical forest and taiga forest. This is a very interesting solution (but not for random maps).

Edit: For random maps at least it shows, that jungle can be replaced by a different kind of terrain.

To add to the above, setting the world to "Cool" should also increase the frequency of Forest relative to Jungle/Marsh (but at the cost of putting more Tundra and less Desert on the map).
