I find it quite annoying how some tiles are practically useless. Sure, you can put districts on desert tiles, but you can't settle there if there's no workable tiles.
I'm not looking for any particular improvement, so long as they are something fitting (for example, no desert farms). Here are some ideas: trading posts (like Civ 5), greenhouses (small amount of food for any tile, mid-late game), solar panel (late-game, bonus in desert), and field lab (science improvement, possibly based on type of terrain).
Of course, other ideas are welcome. I couldn't find a mod like this, but if there is, please let me know. Otherwise, I'd love to see this idea come to life.
