I was wondering if anyone else noticed the lack of good navy units. I mean could somebody create a mod that has a cruiser and ageis cruiser + a nuke sub that would make the game some much better
I miss the naval warfare i had in Civ 3... I actually already created me a nuclear sub (without new graphic as i don't think you can do that yet) and it even holds 5 ICBMs... nice for hiding my missles from enemy spys
I am gona try and create a few more units... mainly because i don't like Destroyers seeing my submarines... takes the fund out of subs when the most common unit can see them
It’s an esthetic problem but it drives me nuts how all naval units lean madly into curves like racing boats.
Doesn't anybody at Firaxis own a sailing boat?
Sailing boats lean most of the time away from the turning point.
I have not seen any large ships lean that hard either and I suspect they do it into the other direction too.
Can anybody tell what makes a racing boat lean like a motor bike? Is it the engine, rudder, or hull?

Remember the one I did for myself in Civ 3. Modded my subs and Aegis cruisers in Civ 3 to hold either tactical nukes or cruise missiles

Yea i loved cruise missles... especially after i modded them to fit on the nuke subs... made a nice beachead assault feature
Oh btw a warning to anyone modding ships (and balancing them)... Make sure you have a surface ship the can see subs... in my current modded version you need a sub to see a sub... the AI has so far wiped out 30 fishing boats because I can't track his subs down... though it is pretty funny
