I got a bad start it is on a big map but i am on a small island.
I have yet to make it off the island I am try now.
no resource execpt in the sea
here is the save.
Here you are...
Note: it is the French version of the game. Not sure it will play correctly on your PC.
Settings are archipelago, max water, random climate, no barbs, 7 civs, emperor level, default options.
Sure. Though, it is vanilla civ not conquerors and it's Chieftain level. I was bored and just starting new games over and over again to see what the worse start I could get was. Still I think in Conquerors you could probably extract the map? Or at least play it on a higher level? Maybe? I played a little of it on Chieftain. Man...By the time I finished building one warrior and was in the middle of building my first settler the English had already founded a city right next to me. They have two cows, incense and a whale in their starting position. AND this is with the chieftain penalties to the AI as well. I'd be really interested if you could win with this. I had to zip it because the message board kept on giving me "too large" error messages for the .sav file.
edit: I am having trouble with the screenie... first time trying to add an attachment - was to big -
I have had fun with this start and thought I might share. It is a small (64 tile by my count), islolated island that has to rely on fishing villages to survive (only 4 non tundra squares [hills] - excluding tundra with forrest)
map settings:
Large
80% Ocean
Continents
Wet
Cool
5 Billion Years

Sure, those are nightmares, but like one-tile islands, the map generator isn't that cruel. I think the start in DocT3 is the worst I've ever seen, and still it can be won on Emperor.
