"Required DLC not purchased"

As of today i cannot play any of my saves, when i hover over the load game button, it says "Required DLC not purchased". When i prss teh DLC button it says all the nation DLC-s (as it should be) and "Upgrade 1"? Now what the heck is that and why can't i load my saves anymore, yesterday everything was nice and dandy. Maybe i just had the DLC-s as a timeshare?

edit: it gets weirder, now i don't have any of the DLC nations in the leaders list when i start up a new game

Try to verify file cache in Steam..

On the Steam games library page, right click Civ V, select to Properties, select local files and then select 'verify integrity of game cache'..
