Ok, so this is my first time playing this mod.
And, out of the blue I see red text in the bottom right corner telling me research and production disabled for "x" number of turns. (BTW: I'm not in revolution anarchy)

Why is that? What did I do wrong?

I'll be honest I did "cheat" and go into the world builder and add some units, modify my gold and change some terrain. Is the game punishing me for doing that? If it is, that's kinda jerkey, I'm playing single payer, it's my prerogative if I want to "cheat" a little.

If it's not because I "cheated" then WHY?
Is it just a bug? Did i pick the wrong civic? Did I build the wrong building?

Someone please explain how in the world my research and production got disabled.

Thanks.

It's not just your production, it's the entire world minus the Illians.

In this mod, every race has one powerful ability they call a World Spell which they can generally only cast one time in a game. One of the races (The Illians) has the World Spell "Stasis" which halts production for all enemy civilizations. This is what you're experiencing. :-)

Thanks, I actually figured it out just after I posted. I occurred to me to check the event log. But thanks anyhow. I guess my quick assumption was guilt for going into the world builder. It's a nasty habit of mine.

That's a pretty obnoxious spell. I know who I'm going to attack first, Those Illians must pay for their insolence. I had good relations and open borders with them, and they go and stab me in the back like that. I am so going to declare war on them.

LoL

also, if you cant cast spells fro 20 turns, its the amurite worldspell. ;)

Well, the Illians ARE evil, what do you expect from them! :)

Best wishes,
