I am not a modder, and so I am throwing this idea out there.
A mod that introduces the Chimera from Resistance (or really, any parasitic species) at some point (turn, score, tech, w/e) like in FFH2 with Infernals and Mercurians (great mod). Picks a city somewhere and converts it to invasive group (with option to take over). And gives them a unique tech tree and original denizens new tech options to counter the new group.
Possibly continue to give cities (with warnings, and slow by building health buildings) near new group until a new and relatively cheap tech stops the conversion of cities.
Though I realize many of the big timers are busy with big projects (waiting for that '1' to go away in FFH2 Diplomacy
), just wanted to get the idea out.
