Anyone ever tried a variant like this?
I'm not starting this but was just curious if it had beeen tried and how successful it would be.
My idea is that starting in medeival times, find and aquire, by force and/or culture creep etc, all resources of each type visible.
I say in medeival era because I dont see it possible before that,
This would mean as soon as practical, you gain exclusive control of each resource location. You don't wipe out another civ, only attack long enough to secure the resource.
Once you have a monopoly you can trade them to others.
Not sure what the goal would be of this, but am thinking not domination or conquest type wins. Diplo may be out cause everyone is mad at you!
