What are some of the more resource rich maps in the downloads section?

I like to play as an isolationist/expansionist civ...I build a ton of cities to start, then work on infrastructure, squeezing wonders in when i can...I like to have a LOT of resources and luxuries to get huge cities, then once I have my cities developed, then i start producing various stacks of units to go out and scout for the rival civs...I ususally dont start attacking until I research Nationalism and have cavalry at my disposal. I hate getting bogged down with combat in the early game...spending all that time throwing weak units against the AI when all of a sudden you look at the year and its already the 1500's or something like that.

I also prefer archipelago...I cant stand it when the AI has a whole empty expanse of continent to settle, but no...it sends all of its settlers over to build cities directly adjacent to mine...and why pray tell does the AI insist on building all of its cities so they overlap half a dozen tiles...

I also wish there was a way to just play the maps of the various scenarios....I love the mesoamerican maps, with the birds, llamas, maize, etc resources...

Has anyone ever thought of combining all the resources in all known mods together? Especially the Double Your Pleasure goodies...its great getting coffee in mountains....I know...it'd be overkill..but then so is a lot of the other units and mods I've seen...I'm looking for a Monty Haul map essentially.

Could be interesting. Just remember that the more resources there are out there, the less opportunities you have to trade the ones you do get. And if you're playing peaceful there's no war weariness so the luxuries are more for trading than for your private consumption. Your 'Monty Haul' map would be a good warmonger map because you'd never have to worry about unhappiness, plus you get something useful from conquering far-away, totally corrupt cities.

I'd say there's a happy medium between no resources at all and so many that nobody wants to buy them. The trick is to sit there on your island stirring up wars between other people so they can't trade with each other, then selling your own goods once they're swamped with WW.
