The ai now seems to think 3,5 or more same value resources are equal to one...e.g. It wants Corn, Pigs, Wheat and Wine for Dyes. Then a few turns later, it appears offering Dye for Wine on a one to one basis...

Numerous examples in this thread http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=245974
Including several screenshots from me. Apparently, it may possibly be related to Solvers changes.

It also accepts multiple instances of the same resource when it clearly would not benefit from it. I put the screenshot under the same thread.

Does it also happen late in the game ?

I'm not sure about late game, but if it does occur there it is going to seriously mess up trading for corporation resources.

I don't mind the AI making some profit on the deal, but demanding copper, marble and gold for crabs in the ancient age is plain ridiculous. Essentially resource trading is no longer viable, except for the oddities where it offers you a sane deal (e.g. luxury for luxury), but refuses to accept it if you negotiate. As others have pointed out they're accepting multiple copies of resources way before corporations, and then cutting the deals, which equally makes no sense.

Something is badly broken in the way the AI is evaluating resource values in diplomacy, and it does have to be asked how this got through testing. It is utterly blatant in virtually every game from the classical age onwards - how on earth could this be missed in a test?

Check Bhruic's unofficial patch, it fixes the bug when the AI demanded resources which it already had (which led to the outrageous demands of e.g. 5 resources for 1). Not sure about the "doubling", but that might be the same bug (worthless resources counting as valuable).

It is the same bug (partly insinuated by me being tired and stupid)...rest we can say, it was all down to the player having all resources available always (it comlicated see the fix)..Bhruic's code bit fixes it completely
