Restarts: On or Off?

Generally, I hate restarts as well, but did not answer that way in the poll. Restarts are part of the game. Eliminating them would benefit the conquest players, which until recently I was exclusively. Is the GOTM simply a measure of how quickly one of us can conquer the world vs. how quickly someone else can? If so, then the games without restarts serve as the best measure of that. Variety in the game parameters is why I play the GOTM in the first place.

Granted, I do not play every GOTM. But when I can spare the time from my family (two pre-school aged daughters), I work them in.
