Restore HOF scores on a Mac?

I accidentally clicked Clear last night and wiped out my HOF. I want to restore it or at least try to repopulate it with remembered scores before my daughter sees that it's gone. (She has had the high score for some time.) I see a Hall of Fame file in my "Civilization II Files" folder (I'm running civ2 in Mac Classic), but I can only open it in text edit and it comes out with weird characters.

I don't want to compete with the world's HOF leaders; I just want to restore my kids' scores. Can anyone help?

I guess the only way is to load those games just before ending (I hope you have a savefile of them) and finish it again...

Other options I don't know.

You can look for old save files from the HOF games and complete the games (hopefully they were saved shortly before completion; you may want to examine the autosave files as well). When the game finishes, it will add the score to the HOF as if it were a new game being completed. Other than this, I don't know of any way to restore the scores. You may want to post this in the tech support forum as well.
