Revitalization of North Shore

Welcome fellow Citizens of Fanatica!
I War Mongrol welcome you to the latest era of evolution on the History of North Shore located in the Esquiline Province. Since it's creation in 3000BC we seem to have been plague with the common afflictions of a Harbor City. Corruption and theft run rampant in our streets. Gold and production that would have been spent on the advancement of the name North Shore in our great Empire are being wasted and taken by petty thieves.
How ever, I as the newly appointed Mayor wish for you all to help me, if only my word of mouth, in beginning what I call the "Revitalization of North Shore". Here my friends is where I ask you to spare a few moments and your ears (ok so your eyes but you get my drift ).

We lose 10 gold, 10! to corruption on the streets yearly, production another 6 or so shields. This my friends must be stopped. North SHore is currently building a much needed aqueduct, I often pass the site of construction on my way to the office and am greatful our Governer has listened to the peoples call. But as I walk ever so slowly through the calm breeze smells of the coast I have to wonder, "What will the use of this fine structure be if all the exces food that we produce is ebing stolen?", this my friends is a question that can be answered by looking into our past and bringing into effect the laws by which we are governed as a people. What we need my brethren is a Court House. Then we may trial these thieves and send out a message that North Shore will not be another thieves Paradise.
This my denizens, although long winded, is Phase One of Revitalization.
While I have been wrong in my calculations due to being behind in saved games my opinions stand tall on the revitalization of North Shore in the prodction sense. Mines and rail work should be set in place to further show the potential of this fine city.

This my friends is Phase Two.
The image you will see is of North Shore now. What I propose is to first strengthen our production. What is the use in aiming for other improvements within the city if it will take us a lifetime to build them. What I propose to our Governor is that we assign two workers, be they our own citizens or of another city and focus on the construction of mines on three mountains with blue discs placed on them, during or after said construction I suggest a rail system be put in place in the three tiles running south east of the city toward our neighboring city of Palatine (outlined in grey). This will connect both our Aspiring cities to the network that we call our Empire. The mines and rail system should add a small but significant boost to production.

Phase Three, is a matter of time and debate and a matter of internal structure for the city. While the courthouse I see as a requirement for our growth and prosperity, others might interject on my remaining ideas. In no particular order I suggest we begin to focus on our culture, by building a Cathedral, Library and University. These I feel will further the admiration of my fellow North Shore'ers'. And hopefully one day make others realize of the beautifulness that resides within "The Shore".

Mayor War Mongrol.

Let me be the first to congartulate you on your appointment of Mayor of the city of North Shore.

I see you've been busy creating plans and a future for the city. I encourage this whole-heartedly.

I also would like to see the Province of Esquiline and all it's cities being improved. That includes tile-improvement and reducing the corruption that is taking away our wealth and production.

My first priority is Esquiline. My second is Fanatica. Your plans are good for both priorities and I urge you to request them formally in the Esquiline Province thread, so I can include them in the instructions.

Luckily I am the DP for the next T/C so you can count on it that every proposal which benefits both the city, Esquiline and our Nation will be granted.

North Shore 1575
Our people are currently building a Courthouse to trial those who dare break the law. The day it is completed they shall all cheer in unison as those criminals are dragged in one by one and sentenced. The next step is to build a granary so that all of North Shore's citizens will be able to feed themselves without fear of a famine. A proposal is being is being written now as we speak to rush the courthouse and punish those sooner than let them wander the streets and prey on the innocent.
