has anyone come out with a mod which allows for revolutions to occur. i'd love to play a game as the British and have my distant colonies revolt and become the American civ. hell, is it even possible to do this?

Yes it is possible ... and that is the goal of my modpack Revolution Mod! As of right now, colonies will not attempt to break away as a group, but the individual colony cities may rise up and rebel against you, spawning a completely new civ that was not in the game before.
