MobBoss
Off-Topic Overlord
Well, decided to bump this as I signed up for the free week demo as a couple of my friends picked this up during the steam sale.
My overall impression is that its very well done, albeit it is way too easy, at least initially. I really like the idea of mixing/matching char types to give your toon its own distinct feel. For those wondering what that means, each archtype, i.e. warrior/cleric/rogue/mage has 8 sub-types under it (called souls). Your toon chooses skills from 3 separate skill trees depending on which sub-types you pick. The sub-types allow you to tailor your toon how you want. For example, you can have a hand-to-hand rogue, an archer type rogue, a physical damage or magic damage type rogue, etc. etc.
Game itself ran great on my older video card (although it did poke me to update my drivers). Artwork and animation of the game is first rate, with plenty of eye candy to be had. The rift mechanic is kind of a play on the public quest method seen in Warhammer, but done a little bit better as individuals can kick of minor rifts themselves as opposed to having to pass bye larger zone area rifts/events if playing solo.
I dont really have any information other than this as you are limited to level 15 on a 1 week trial account, and even then it only takes you a few evenings of play to accomplish that for a toon. Waiting on my friends to see if they will renew their initial month and if they do I may join them to play this for a bit.
