I'm a fan of Romania, and so congratulations (in advance of my checking the site to see what it is). But that said, doesn't Romania have other priorities right now ?

It's a privately funded project. X-prize rules state you can't have state involvement.

Most of them look about the same, makes you wonder what will happen to the losers of this contest. Will they just scrap it all, or will they go into the space tourism business?

Its probably being funded by Russian mobsters. Maybe if we turned space into a lucrative money laundering operation it would attract more capitol from organised crime.
