Here's the situation:Germany has moved 3 ancient cavs in my borders in preparation to attack my unguarded border city. They are absolutely going to declare war on me the next turn. So I signed a RoP agreement with them in exchange I will give them 3 Gpt.

So next turn they demand gold and I refuse and of course they take the city.

What is the outcome of this RoP violation? Does Germany get a big rep hit? Am I viewed by other Civs as a heroic victim?

I'm going for my first win on demigod. I somehow managed to mortally wound Carthage, Numidian Mercs and all, so they are not a threat. Coincidentally, as I was moving my Swordsmen north to attack the weaker (but more advanced) Germans, they decided they wanted a piece of me. I thought I might as well give them a rep hit before they get conquered .

On demigod, moreover... don't you realize they're like hounds waiting for their bone treats right by your border ?
