Hi,
I bought Civ iv back in May and it worked well for several months. Then it suddenly stopped working. I have tried reinstalling it, downloading patches up to 1.71 and ensuring I have the latest directx, all to no avail. Whennever I boot up the game I get the following message: "This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I have been on the phone with technical support for but they have not been able to help. I have also tried changing the compatability features to no success. When I change it to Windows XP it can't read disk 1. Oh, I'm running Vista. If anyone can shed some light on the problem I would be very grateful. Thanks.
