russian version of civ 4 help

i bought civ 4 off of ebay and it comes to as russian version but the person i bought from said you can play it in english but i can get it to work in english .. does anyone know of the russian version and how to make it english ? thanks

the game should include all the language files - the language setting is either in the game when you click on options or in the civilizationIV.ini - you have to open that with a text editor and scroll to a line that says something like:

; English(0),French(1),German(2),Italian(3),Spanish(4) - Defaults to user-installed language
Language = 0

then change to the required number - as you can see I do not have the russian version so I do not know what the correct number there would be

thanks ori this worked for me, but i had to put it to (1) french to get english text...sounds crazy i know... but works great now.thanks!
