How do you specify the amount of culture created by sacrificing something? I assumed this was a hard-coded value since I saw no way to change it. But in my scenario, I find that sacrificed units create only 2 culture points, which ain't really worth it. Evidently it is, after all, possible to reset this value, and I've done it but don't know how. Any help?

I can't seem to find anything on this in either the rules editor or the scenario properties editor. Perhaps it is linked to the cost of units? And how come you are so sure that it can be reset, I always thought it was hardcoded.

EDIT: it seems that you can make it larger using Techs, a tech can have the flag 'doubles sacrifice'

Yes, but that doesn't determine the initial value. In the WH mod, I think you get 20 points, which doubles to 40 when you have a shrine, for example. But why the disparity between values?

Actually I just noticed I was wrong, a tech cannot have the 'double sacrifice', it says so in the help file, but it isn't so in the editor.
You can only have improvements have that :)

I looked through the editor again, but couldn't find anything, so my best guess would be that it depends on the cost of the unit.

If it only gave two, my guess would be in the editor it says it costs 10 shields to make.

Experimentation reveals that it is indeed linked to the cost of the unit in shields. So you could, if you wanted, have different units that can be sacrificed, with different amounts of culture points for each.

Thanks Plotinus! I wasn't sure. :)
