I just fixed this for myself, it used to crash at the same turn all the time.
I thought it was my mods, removed them, switched to dx9 and the crash was gone and i noticed it was due to the Genghis Kahn leaderhead appearing.
So i examined the files to see if anything suspicious regarding the leaderheads was different from the dx9 config to the dx11 config, and lo and behold..

Go to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5 and open GraphicsSettingsDX11.ini
Then change LeaderTextureBackgroundLoad = 0 to a higher number, 3 and up fixes the same-turn-crashes for me!

Turns out it crashes because Ghengis Kahn (or any other leader would cause it if your memory is strained, i presume) appears and the game cant deal with unloading the map graphics fast enough to manage to load the leader-head textures without crashing. The above setting at anything above 0, lets the game take half a second extra time to "calm down and load it properly" lol :)

It took me time to even bother trying that setting because i have 6gb ram and a 10gb swapfile in windows, didnt think it would be a memory issue but obviously it is!

It may help for dx9 too, to change the default 4 to a 6, but i never had any problems with that in dx9 anyway so.
I think its strange that the default in dx11 is 0, when it has the risk of introducing crashes..
I mean you dont notice any difference with a setting of 3 or 4 like in the dx9 default. It takes literally half a second for the textures to load, is that not worth it if it can prevent crashes, devs? :crazyeye:
