Car stats

Anyone knows a site with car stats? What I have found only tells what kind of people use the car, and its sex appeal.

I want more info, in particular how many passengers it can carry. Also how fast it is.

I hunted down a Camper (took me long time!) and was sure it would have enough seats for at least 5 passengers because it has three rows of seats. But not! TWO passengers only.

I know I had once a car with space for at least 4 passengers (and no, it wasn't a bus).

EDIT:

Hit/"health" points for different vehicles would also be of great interest.

Okay, at all times, only 3 people can enter your car. It is quite stupid, but it is so.

The speeds are determined by slow, medium, and fast.

Hitpoints, well, there are none of those, but I think you can find a list saying weak, average, and strong.

For example, the FBI truck, is strong.

The Ambulance, is weak.

There is a car or van that takes at least 4 passengers. I'm not sure what real world car it resembles most, I would guess a Chrysler Voyager (maybe Voyager in USA is not Chrysler, but in Europe it is).

I'll have to look for a more detailed vehicle list. But it's useful to know that there's only three different classes.

Driving skill

Increased skill on bike makes it less likely to fall off the bike.

What does the increased driving skill? I never had a problem with falling off cars...

My driving skill is now at 50%. Because the skill increases slowly, and because I drive different cars, it is almost impossible to tell if something is different.

Do not bother training your vehicle skill there are schools later in the that give large amounts of experience :) Driving skill improves handling I think

Yes I remember I was amazed how shoddy CJ was at controlling vehicles. I was just basically spinning around on each turn.

I was appalled at how quickly he fell off bikes

But yes, don't worry too much about driving skill, as it will slowly improve and increase your handling. The various schools that come up later in the game alos help.

Driving schools? :) I guess I won't need them much unless they are unlocked soon. Bicycle and motorbike skill is maxed out, car driving skill is at 50%.

I have not noticed better car handling but that's probably because it is improved little by little. And the cars are so different, some are like driving a boat, other are pretty "nervous" in the handling.

But I can tell it is a major difference on bikes! The Laws of Physics no longer apply to me.

Driving school comes a few missions after San Fierro, Piloting comes a few missions after Las Venturas. I think biking and boating come around the same time as the latter. None are really needed except for Pilotiing, and that's only if you want to continue the game missions :)

Indeed, but having all the regions opened to you after Las Venturas is mighty handy. Couple of times I flew over a locked region and had a couple of harriers tearing after my crop duster.

Won't deny it was fun to outfly them, though :D

I tried to restart the game to test out the driving skills. I can't notice some significant difference. Turning corners are maybe slightly harder.

You can fly from the start though ^_^
How? Where? I've been at the airport.
Only planes I've seen are those in the sky. Doesn't happen too often. Should I try to jump and hijack one?

You know the PS2 gamepad (it is called a gamepad, right?).

1.
On the left side there are four buttons.
The upper and lower button is for changing radio stations.
The left one is not in use.
But what does the right button? The in-game explainations says "Trip Skip" - what is this?

2.
In the controller settings, there is something called "invert look", on or off. What is this?

I have tested and tried to find out both answers, but I need your help. Thanks.

1.
That is for when you start a mission, get to a checkpoint, fail, and then try again. You can skip all the driving to the actual mission.

2.
Reverses the view commands!

There is a entrance for pilots onto the runway you are not aloud in but if you park a car next to the wall you can climb it and jump in. There is a parachute downtown on skyscraper :)
