Save Files too large

I recently started playing The Third World War 1989, and ran across a pretty frustrating bug. Whenever I try to save the game, a message comes up saying "Failed to Save Game." After checking my saves folder, all of the savegame file sizes are roughly 16,000 KB, while other games are around 2,000 at most.

I'm running Windows 7, and haven't encountered this issue before. I have Civilization 3 Complete from Steam, and have already tried reinstalling both the mod and the game itself.

Please help me out, I've resorted to playing this game Super Nintendo style in order to get an actual campaign going.

If you need to delete saved files it is easy. Right click icon, go to Properties, double click on saves file, delete from there.

All those saves I had used to drive me crazy ... I do the same thing with my phone deleting messages.

Not sure if that is your problem tho.
