Save Games - From Other People

Hello... I was just wondering..

Is it possible to "trade" save games between accounts? Because to be perfectly honest, I'm an achievement junkie, and it's going to be undoubtely A LONG time before I get any of the timed scenarios acheivement for winning (really don't get the 100 turns, it's too little, too muchr ush.. not my style)

So I was wondering, if it's possible to "trade/distribute".. would love a 1 turn before winning of Diety in Genghis Khan scenario . (ahem..)

Or if there is a way to get them using custom Scenarios xD.

The files are in Document->My Games->Sid Meier's Civilization V->Saves-> Single Player
You can post them here using the paperclip icon in the advanced menu.

Ahh, cool, the question is... does anyone have the 1 turn away from Diety win (or close win atleast) for Gengis Khan scenario :/ ?

Well; unless the player has some DLC used in that game; anybody can load the save file.

But wow would it cheapen a personal achievement to load a save file one turn before it's reached.

I can barely play Warlord level really,

besides, it's not XBox, for me achievements is "finding a way to getting it" whatever it takes,

for example
before I changed accounts (from my brothers to mine) my Diety achievement involved having a 7:1 army of A.I and me aginst another A.I, with me winning either Diplomatic or Domination victory.

AND...

For Elizabeth's sink 357 (which I find ridicolous compared to the other nation's achievement) making a scenario with around 125 barbarian ships and sinking them .

I'm not THAT good at it, and I'll never actually achieve the time limited ones anyway .

Besides, it's me, I see it diffrently , I am proud to say that I got all 57 achievements on Portal 2 without any magical powers .

To be fair, getting that achievement before the big patches also cheapens it compared to getting it now

Why do you want other people finish you're achievements..

THe cool thing about achievements is that you feel proud of yourself if you get it...

Because there is no way in hell I'll ever get them by myself. I wait till I get Muskets to start world domination -.-

Achievements are only worth getting if they have some value to you. For a lot of people I assume this value comes from accomplishing something the achievement requires, so that mustn't be what motivates you if you're prepared to use someone else's save to get it. For others it may be the little medals you can show to your friends.

There's only two times Steam achievements have seen much attention from me.
1. During the recent Steam's summer sale event, many game DLCs were given away as rewards for doing certain achievements. The perfect time to use savegames when you don't want to waste hours of your life earning something worth a dollar or so (people have real jobs, you know).
2. The game called Solar 2. Its achievements are sort of a part of the game.

Civ5's achievements, like for most games, are uninspired and pretty worthless IMO.

That's how you play it, and that's fine, But I like to do it how I want to do it.

I don't play games for the difficult and stress, I play it for enjoyment, if I enjoy it, I should be allowed to do so.

I don't get anything for the achievements anyway, so i don't care how I get them, I justl ike getting them.

Yeah, if it's how you enjoy it, no problem. We all have our own ways to enjoy games.

That said, it might be a bit hard finding players to up a gamesave for you. What percentage of players have gotten the achievement anyway?
