I can't get it to work...any help?

Every time I do it, after I go to the budget window to issue the .% bond, it just tells me that my credit rating is too poor to issue another bond.

if you want free money, just type in 'imacheat' over and over again, you get $500,000 every time you enter the cheat. If you really need help with that particular cheat, though, ask Perfection, he'll probably know how to help.

With imacheat, you also get free rewards, and you have to worry about fiscal responsibility, as it just taks on 500k to your money pool, rather than your per year income. I'd rather have the fund cheat. I guess he'll notice this thread sooner or later.

From my experience, the fund cheat doesn't work in the Sim City 2000 Special Edition. Which is the one I have, and it doesn't work there.

The double fund cheat only works with the DOS edition, I reccomend either using imacheat or priscilla,

Either that or just build a small town, put it on African swallow and no disasters go to bed and come back with all the money you'd ever need.

While we're on the topic of sc2k....I've got this huge city, about half a million, and industrial and commercial demand has absolutely nosedived, and residential demand just hovers sporadically around zero. How do I boost demand? I've got about four or five arcologies.

Lower taxes? Build more residental zones and/or reduce industrial and commercial. Check the city ordinances, perhaps you got a sales tax activated.

About funds: it's not that hard to start the game with 10k bond. I usually pause the game in the beginning, buy the powerplant and build roads and zones for the rest and then let it start. By drawing power lines I enable building to start everywhere at once. I build ugly in the beginning, making it look pretty when I got much money. I don't think any police, schools etc are needed in the beginning.

Something I'd like to ask while there is an active topic on this game:

I just recently found my old copy of the game packed away from before we moved out here (about three years now, I guess). So I popped in the floppy disks (yes, floppies!) and installed it on my computer. Seems to work just fine with Windows 98. The only problem is, I have to switch to 256 color mode whenever I want to play, and back again after I'm done. Do any patches allow me to play it in 16-bit color mode? Where can I get it? And just what version are they on by now?

I can see two potential causes:
1. Taxes are too high
2. You don't have enough demand cap relief, are the sims demanding connections, airports, seaports or recreational structures?

Taxes are at zero, so it's probably the second one. I have an airport, there's no river or sea, and I have a ton of parks. Lowering taxes to zero fixed the problem for residential zones, but commercial demand remains at zero, and industrial is at the bottom. I have literally no room left to build, so I guess I'll demolish a ton of stuff and put in a highway network with external connections.

At least it's grown to 720,000.
