Not all these guys were generals, and I definately won't be using them all. But it's a list anyway, and those were basically all the major players.

there is a description on the first page of my "material needed" thread
which by now is at the second page of the creation forum

EDIT: great list! should work just fine

I have some more ideas of how to make this scenario more realistic:

- The French and their allies will not be able to build many new troops, or at least not very quickly. They will basically have to make do with their initial force.

- France and allies will, however be able to get additional forces, by building a wonder / wonders. For example: 'Victory in Iberia' - by building this, it will symbolize a French victory in Spain and Portugal (where they were fighting around the same time), and are able to divert troops as reinforcements into Russia. In the game, this could be represented by the wonder producing an 'Iberian veteran' every so many turns. I think this could work well, also because I think this needs to be more than just a build units non-stop and send them to the front type scenario.

- Supply lines: Perhaps the French could also build (or maybe they can build a wonder that produces) 'supply units' These supply units could only move on certain terrain (or perhaps only on roads), and have no attack or defense values, so they would be very vulnerable. However, If the french can bring these supply units to the front, they could upgrade them into soldier units.
There is a problem with this, however: How to control where these units are upgraded, so you can't just upgrade them in the same city you build them? Because the most important part here is that the supplies must move!

@ Rocoteh - I see you've edited your post, but I remember the question you asked earlier, and I'm glad you asked, so I'll bring it up again.

I would like to have the units in this scenario organized in division level. However, I don't have the information necessary to do such a thing, and I don't know where I could find that information. But if I do find some good info... or if anyone would be able to find it for me :mischief: ..... then I would definately make the units that way.

jusk ask about it at the Q/A sticky
those guys can get info on anything

:bump:

I'm back (I haven't really been away, but I have been quite busy)
So, back to work.

Here's a first preview of the map - the terrain isn't right yet (I have a lot of work left to do), but from the pic you can get a pretty good picture of the map area. Dimensions are 64 by 108, btw.

I've been sorting out what units I'll have and I'll get a list up soon. I will need help with two things though:
graphics - where can I find unit graphics that would fit the unit slots in this scenario
stats - I've always been terrible at this. Once I get the list up, and perhaps a bit of info about each unit, any help with unit stats would be greatly appreciated.

Bóreas - Unfortunately, that particular question would be off topic in the Q/A *research* thread. However, There are a couple other things I'm sure they could help me with. And you're right - they can get info on anything!

Glad you are working on this again!! I was just thinking about it...

Reminded me you were also making 1812 cities for this were'nt you?
I might have to borrow the Russian ones for my scenario if you don't mind...

Of course I don't mind. I'll try and get those (along with a ton of others!) uploaded as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, for the past few weeks or so, I have been without any graphics making programs! That's why I haven't been able to make or post any new cities lately, in case anyone was wondering. However, that problem should be remedied by... oh.... next week :mischief: , if you catch my drift ;)

Alrighty then ;)

Here is a first list of units (only includes combat units. I have yet to decide non-combat ones)

Infantry

- Imperial Guard - France - Napoleon's elite veteran troops
- French Infantry - France - Regular French soldiers
- European Infantry - France - Infantry of the subordinate nations of the Napoleonic Empire
- Italian Infantry - France - Some of the more distinguished and hard-fighting troops in Napoleon's army.
- Iberian Veteran - France - A veteran from the Iberian War. Created by the wonder "Victory in Iberia"
- Austrian Infantry - Austria - Austria's Infantry
- Prussian Infantry - Prussia - Prussia's Infantry
- Swedish Infantry - Sweden - Sweden's Infantry
- Russian Infantry - Russia - Regular Russian soldiers
- Turkish Veteran - Russia - Russian veteran of the Turkish wars. Created by the wonder "Victory in Turkey"
- Partisan - Russia - A russian 'guerilla' type infantry

*I am looking for better names than just [country name] infantry.

Cavalry

- Cavalry - France Austria Prussia Sweden - Just a guy on a horse with a gun.
- Light Cavalry - Russia - Russian guy on a horse with a gun.
- Polish Lancer - France - Very important componant of Napoleon's army. They have special mention in just about every battle.
- Cossack - Russia - Skilled horseman of central asia
- Scout - All nations - Scout cavalry.

* would it be apropriate to rename Cavalry to dragoon?

Artillery

- Grand Battery - France - French heavy cannon.
- Cannon - All nations except France - Good ol' cannon.

Navy

Have not decided. I do plan to have the British as barbarians, starting them off with only ships, so as to sail the baltic.

*Not all these units will be able to be built (especially in the case of France), but instead will simply be preplaced. Other units will be created by wonders.
*Very important: I need help with unit stats! I'll find more info about the units if needed.
*Very important: Any suggestions on what graphics I can use for these?
