Hey, fellow Fanatics! I've got an issue currently with a scenario I am attempting to finish in the Worldbuilder. I am not looking to make a perfect scenario with triggers and scripts, merely an easy-going scenario for myself, my friends, and for online play. :king:

I edit the scenario using Notepad and Notepad++, and its worked out just fine. That is until I decided to add a 17th civ to my custom scenario map; whenever I try to test it out (I open up another scenario and from there open up worldbuilder, then load my scenario), no matter which civ I pick to play, the map stays black and I get the message "You have been defeated!!!".

When I remove the 17th player from the scenario (any modder would know how to do so by editing the file using Notepad or Notepad++), the game works just fine and I can play it. I had this issue before and somehow resolved it, but now I don't remember how to do so.

Could anybody help me out here? I'm running out of options and its really frustrating to figure this out. I wanna finish editing the scenario and then play it with my friends. Any help would be great! :)

You're telling me over 100 people have read my thread and not one of them has an answer for me or a link to redirect me if the issue has been resolved elsewhere?

Most of us are not modders here in the General Discussion area. You would do better to ask in the Creation and Customization forum.

+1 to s.bernbaum's response. for the the scenario's I make for the kids and I, I just use the tools I DL'd from the C and C forums. I don't think I've used the WB method in a long time.

I'm not a modder so I have no idea on how to help you. Try the C&C forum. That's where the moders hang out.

EDIT: I see s.bernbaum said the same thing previously.
