Scenario Recommendations

I'm looking for a really good WWII scenario/s - I've heard Red Front mentioned a few times and Second Front also, but when looking in the scenario download section there were LOADS more to choose from.

Can anyone recommend a good WWII one - European (East & West) and/or Pacific campaigns - to save me trying ALL of those available?

How about some reasons for your preferences too? ("XYZ scenario ROCKS man!!" isn't much help to me)

I really like the ZWK scenario by Kobayashi.

If you look in the PBEM forum, you'll see there are 5 or 6 of them currently going.

I've heard good things about Red Front, but haven't had the time to check it out personally.

The ZWK is indeed the one most often played. It is generally considered as being the most complete and accurate.
Some find the Red Front more enjoyable others ZWK but that depends on your own taste.

I´d say, download both and see which one is more to your liking.

Red Front hands down..with all due respect to others.My all time fav.Maybe like it more than the original game!

2194 Days of War

There are lots of really good ones.Just jump in and start playing.

2194 Days of War is very good, with event driven attacks, but if I could pick one fault that did somewhat vex me it would be the inability to reproduce the "arsenal of democracy" effect of American production and military power.
Ye cannot afford to build great amounts of troops, ships and aircraft without being slugged big time with unhappiness penalties. If events gave units to the US to simulate this, then it would be quite good.
But there is the consideration of to what degree the game should slavishly follow history, of course.
The fact that the US cannot build any Marines, with the Japanese getting Marines instead was also somewhat grating.

But, in a global scenario, it is a very good one.

I would say The Struggle for Europe as well but Marko is supposedly updating it and has withdrawn it for the time

It really depends on your preferences. Zweiter Weltkrieg is a great MP one, 2194 Days is good for both PBEM and single player. For single player, I'd recommend Red Front.
