sci on marathon and build on standard?

ok, i'v looked around but can't find a mod like this.

I want science on the marathon time line. so time and science levels go slow

But i wanna build buildings and units at the standard pace, so that the AI players and me can compose a respectable war in the classical and medieval ages with out waiting 70 turns for 5 units lol

If you guys can't direct me to such a mod would someone be able to walk me though on how to make a mod like this?
 
Ok man, since Putmalk helped me out with a couple things it only seemed fair to whip something out that might help.

Please go to your MOD browser and look for the newly created mod: "A Long Time in the Past"

It is very simple and amounts to just two xml sheets, but hopefully it will give you what you're looking for. I mentioned your name in the description so you'd be sure to find it.

I play tested this for about 5 turns, the building times were very short for everything, and the research time was about 79 turns. If you don't like any of the details to that you are *naturally* free to go peek at the code and change the values to anything you like!

Only one slight issue, the build times for settlers are still set at Marathon times. I hope that doesn't ruin the fun. At this time, I'm not sure where the values are for settler build times as they seem to be independent of the other times.

If someone more knowledgeable comes along with some quick code to fix that (if it matters) I can add it rather easily and re-up a newer version. In the meantime, if in my normal poking around I find it, I'll re-up just the same!
