Score balance out?

Hey, if I play on a smaller landmass, rather a large one, will score be affected any way, because of less territory owned? Or say, if I am doing a war like thing, will the less time it'll take me to destroy the enemy make up for not having the extra territory?!

Yes, it will. There may be more score info in the HOF forum. Also, Ask Aeson. He's written several scoring utils.

Hell yes. Since you finish the game earlier in small maps, then you get a bigger bonus for finishing quicker. I got a score of just over 10k for a Tiny Deity Domination victory. I played a similar game (although not originally intended for HOF) on a Standard sized map, got a Domination win, but with 2000 less points -- just goes to show

But if I did a small map with say, diplomatic or spaceship or culture, my score would take a hit because I have to wait till the modern ages anyways, and won't get the territory bonuses?

I'm almost certain, yes. Hence, I tend to just play Standard sized maps, and only standard -- so I can compare.

I dont think you are given more points for that, it does work the same way.

The points you get for having a territory of 200 tiles + 100 Happy People + 100 specialist&content people will give you the same per-turn score on a tiny map as it will on a huge map.
