Recently my computer started a very ominous freezing problem. It happens once every 10 hours or so, but i am afraid it may escalate. I was wondering if the problem had to do with the screen refresh rate, which i changed more than a month ago to 75 hertz instead of 60. I also noticed that the upper part of the back side of the computer (next to the power cord) became increasingly heated, and probably the heat there caused the freeze of the system (oxymoron :) ). So, any views? Is it time to take it to the workshop, or should i just keep the screen refresh rate lower and hope for the best?

Open up the computer and put a can of compressed air on it (not literally in the case but blow the air around) see if the dust blows away. It may be worth a shot.

Refresh rate doesnt matter on an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display).
