Screen resolution

When i play civ III, my screen isn't in its optimal resolution.In windows it is at 1280x1024. But when playing civIII, the image is just way worse. Does anyone know how i fix this?

In the civ3 readme.txt file is some ini file commands for screen resolution. You should be able to use VideoMode=1280 or something like that. Civ3 defaults to 1024x768.

Set your resolution the what you want it at.

Add the line in your .ini file (civlizationiii.ini for VC3, ptw.ini for PTW, and conquests.ini for conquests) KeepRes=1. This may also affect your refresh rate, so find that and put in the line Refresh=XX, where XX is the refresh rate of your monitor.

I wouldn't use Video Mode, but it wouldn't hurt. It is useful if you want to play 'windowed'.
