Btw, this poll is alright. The only changes teams that wouldn't belong here imo are Marseille and Red Star (sorry Alone). I'd replace them with Flamengo in the 80s (when Zico played there) and perhaps Dynamo Kiev in the 80s.

Taken that from my lips. Flamengo OWNED Brazilian football in the 80's, and that is no little thing. World Champions, only once, though, and maybe that is why they don't get much of the recognition they deserve... but suffices to say that, while no team can be considered the base of the increadible 1982 Brazilian squad (really, possibly the one team in our history wich's talent was in pair with the 1970 squad), it's fair to say that a relevant chunk of it came from the Gávea (flamengo's headquarters).

There are two other amazing Brazilian teams that I think deserve noticing, the São Paulo in the late 80's (Cafú, Raí, Leonardo, Müller) and early 90's, followed by the Palmeiras (coached By Luxemburgo, Today in real Madrid), which's team was practically the base for the 1998 Brazililian Squad, and projected people like Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo and Edmundo.

I don't actually think any of these is the greatest football team (I do think real Madrid deserve that spot), but some of these are decent contestors for the top five list.
