I read in the civ3 manual that you can sell city improvements.
But I don't know how to do it.
Can anybody help me? :help:

At the bottom left of the city display, there is a list of all the improvements. If you right-click on the improvement you want to sell it will give you the option to sell it.

Oh... thank yyou.
Where did you learn that?

I'm curious. And you cant break your computer by clicking the mouse :)

I learnt it since its similar to Civ2 and it lists the improvements in the city display so it makes sense to be able to right click on them and sell them there. What are you trying to sell btw?

Learning: trial & error

I learned when I was new, and I was used to right-clicking everything, so I right-clicked for the civilopedia, and saw the sell.

You're right, but it's not a loophole. At least, I see it as design. Think of it less as selling the improvement but more of removing the cost of the improvement.

When wonders expire do you then lose the improvements? I assume that you don't but I seem to only manage to build wonders that don't expire at the moment and before I didn't sell improvements...

You do lose them..
I don't think there are any expiring improvement-giving Wonders in Vanilla Civ - but in Conquests there are quite a few. I normally build the (can't remember name) thing that gives you temples in all continental cities - and when Education is discovered I have to build temples again in all cities :/

Temple of Artimas I believe. Sun Tzu is a Civ3 wonder that would have the same effect with barracks...

If you get granaries from the pyramids, you can only sell off granaries you already have. Unfortunately, the game doesn't put a number next to the improvement that shows you how many you have. As far as the game is concerned, you have 2 granaries - one that you built, and another from the Pyramids.

Really? I just had this happen in 1.22 where I captured the pyramids, and I didn't have two graneries in my city view, just one. I had to click each granary to find out if I could 'sell' it. 'T'would be nice, tho, to see that. Make clicking through the cities that much easier.
