under my military unit actions, there are to options to "sentry" my units. just wondering what they both do. i could not find it in any instruction manuel.

Sentry works like fortify, but sentried units wake up in case an enemy (or just any rival's) unit comes into their range ('y' or 'shift y').

Thanks I was wondering about that too. I most probably wont use it unless I need to watch over a dangerous border of somekind. The AI's moves flash by so it is good to see it coming if you miss an assault that could be easily identified.

I use sentries along my borders, works great again barbs.

I like to set up a sentry barrier of submarines to keep an eye out for incoming ships.

I always use my artillary on sentry. My disappointment has always been that sentry on works: land units detecting enemy lands units and naval units only detecting naval units. I would have liked the artillary that is placed along the coast to be able to detect enemy ships.

Since artillary can hit enemy ships, it would have made sense.

I would usually fortify all of the stack bar one, this is much better
