Setting proximity limits for improvements.

Hello there!

For a while now I've been modifying the game to better suit my tastes through the magic of xml editing. The most recent idea for me is to find a way to limit trading posts to 1 every 3 tiles or so, similar to how cities are limited. This to reduce ugly spam, but also allowing me to buff individual camps through policies or the tech-tree without having to change the gold costs of everything in the game to compensate.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if this can be done.
Oh, and there's a catch: I can't make this as a mod file because I play hotseat with my better half, meaning I can only directly modify the data files for it to work in our multiplayer game. Any ideas?
 
no idea if there's a XML tag for that, but I've got a good news anyway : you can make a mod of it if you found it and use that ;)
 
Such thing could be useful in my mod too, probably can be done using LUA but my current knowledge is insufficient to do it in a way that would make the AI understand it (so it doesn't try to build things where it's not allowed).

(And thanks for the link, I always wanted to play mods in hotseat :))
 
Unfortunately, I don't know LUA. Oh, and thanks for the hotseat tweak. Good job!
