Several great leaders?

Is it possible to have several leaders at the same time? Or do I have to "use" my leader to get another? Thank you for your time and answers!

You cannot get a Military Great Leader when you have another leader. In C3C, you can get a Scientific Great Leader no matter what.

...Except in the Napoleanic Europe scenario, when France starts with 2 leaders.

And note that you cannot create functional SGLs in the editor for some reason.

In C3C you can have several SGLs at the same time, but only one MGL.

This may be a newbie sounding question but what are Scientific Great Leaders? I play standard Civ3... Is the SGL concept in a newer version of the game?

The SGL is in C3C.

To be more specific - in Conquests Military Great Leaders can be used for armies or improvements up to and including Small Wonders i.e. they cannot be used to rush a Wonder. Scientific Great Leaders can be used to rush anything. As an option they were supposed to create a period of greater research but this is broken so SGL - which can be generated if your civ is the first to discover an advance - is used to rush Wonders.
