Huh? Oh! Am I up? Sorry guys. *collects the MAP and SVE* okay. I'll play them and report back tommorrow.

Ack. Gonna have to drop out from this. Sorry C_D :(

If it was any other time, sure.. but at the moment I have tooo many commitments. Even for '45 minutes' a day. Heck, I can't even play civ at the mo' :(

Alright. Whenever you have tome just come right back in. ;)

Alex has played 20 turns. Next up: conquerer dude! (Only took me 10 minutes because I've got few units.)

Here's what happened:
Started at 3780 BC: Reset research to 100% (tax 0%) because a) we have nothing to pay for right now and b) we haven't even started researching our first tech. I selected the wheel. Continued building the militia and went exploring. Finished the wheel and started alphabet. Built a granary (Rome is growing way too slowly...we have no food bonuses nearby). Met the Germans and refused to trade for their worthless horseback riding. 20 turns over!

It is up to the next person. We might get lucky and beat them with just a single militia, but we should probably be friends for now. I did find their capital, but chances are they have phalanx defending and possibly a second city already. I'm building a settler. We really need to get two more cities before I feel safe. I'm not crazy about this starting location.

This game isn't going anywhere. It was more popular as an idea than as a game. Trada can't spare the time to play, conquer dude is going to take a while. We got a slow start even before that. Should we even continue?

Yes, I mean by take a while as tomorow or tonight. Depends on how homework flows and stuff. It's all random.

I think I counted 20...

Firstly, we need to, as a nation, get better gods. The ones who guided us to the swampy forests of Rome have got it in for us.

And now, a brief history of the Roman Empire from 3280 BC (how do we know it's BC?) to 2980 BC.

3180 BC - Roman settlers built the village of Caesaria on the plains east of Rome. It will become a powerful city someday.

3180 BC - The Roman Palace, under the consulate of Irish Caesar, has expanded.

3140 BC - The wise men of Rome have developed an alphabet. They believe that with the support of Minerva, they might develop a way of building walls and wonders out of stone. The code word for this project is masonry.

3100 BC - Consul Irish Caesar meets with the American Emperor, Abraham Lincoln. He was flanked by three bodyguards, the insecure fool. As a gesture of goodwill, he offered us his Code of Laws, but Romans do not need crappy American laws. He threatened us to share the ancient Roman art of pottery, but as Irish Caesar is more noble than the cowardly Yankee dictator, he took back his threat. Irish Caesar bows to no man. In light of the American's disrespectful attitude, the two men shook hands and parted ways.

3000 BC - Riots are quelled when the wise Irish Caesar proves his knowledge: University can only be researched once the Romans achieve knowledge of Mathematics and Philosophy. Whatever those are.

A small group of farmers is working to chop down the thick forest south of Rome. We believe it will yield fertile farmland. All taxes collected go towards scientific research. A single military party is scouting the wilderness between Caesaria and the American border.

The save is attached. As was tradition in Rome, control of the mighty nation is left to the next brave man who sits in the Consul's throne. May Jupiter protect him!

I am afraid I will not be able to play. I hoped that we will move fast enough for me to play at the end of the last week. I am in the olympic group of my highschool and we are going to Arad to participate at the national olympiad. I won't be able to play until Tuesday or even one day later.

I think it has been decided. Nobody is playing. Without participation from others, this is pointless. I quit, too.

Well, somehow my Civ1 disc is like... scratched up. I need to get a replacement. :(
