SGL's At Higher Levels

At Emperor level and above the chances of getting SGL's are very limited due to the AI's reduced research time. The best I've managed in an Emperor game is getting to 3 techs first, and I did not get a single SGL for my efforts. Meanwhile, it seems the AI tribes get SGL's quite often based on GW's and the speed with which they go from 1 tech ahead to about 5 techs ahead via scientific golden era.

I'm just curious, what's the most SGL's anyone has earned in higher level games, and how did you get them?

had an SGL in an emperor game last night, think it's the first time i've ever had the pyramids (built 1700BC) in an emperor game, can't remember if it was a 50 turn gambit or whether i popped a tech from a hut, is 1700BC around turn 51?

but i imagine there's some lucky (and skilled to get to more techs first) person here who's had 2 or more

Here he is . In my latest solo deity game (Mayans, pangaea) I got 2 SGLs, 1 for getting to mathematics first, 1 for a gambit on Printing Press. I used the first one for TGL, the second one became Smith's.

I was really rather chuffed with them.

(now I remember, I also got 2 in a Dutch demigod-level game for getting to writing first, then to CoL. Christiaan Huygens became Pyramids, the TGL).

I always play on emperor, and usually I'm first to discover at least 10+ techs. Of course it depends on the actual game, so it can be even 20+. I usually get 1-2 SGLs, which I use to start SGA, because I have prebuilds for the most important wonders. Having SGAs provides more chance to get the 2nd SGL.
Of course I have also games when I do not have SGLs at all, so I take it as a nice bonus...

I play on emporer and above and have never seen a SGL, I have usually been equal or ahead in techs, but I'm still waiting

same as sabo, emp/deity and over I'd guess 20-30 games in c3c have not had a sgl yet, generally either equal or ahead in techs.

I have gotten a SGL on demi god. I only pulled on during a game and I think there were no wonders to get at that point.
