Airstrips require a city or a war.

Well we have a war. Unless rome will talk very soon, we will have researched RP ourselves, so won't need peace in a hurry. A base on rome would serve as a base to ROP rape japan, so Rop rape of them will be possible. Realistically we are going to get to advanced flight before we can start to tackle Rome/japan and we should be able to finish off the English before that without ROP.

Told you it would happen! And a really big gamble leaving a single Cavalry in Anyang...

We can ony hope the worker is left alone long enough so he can build the airstrip and "call for reinforcements"....

The single cav wasn't ideal but one cav had to block the road to our harbor town (much more important), and another one was guarding a pair of workers. I should have moved that guy, but seem to have spacebarred him before posting the screenshot and seriously considering the romans intentions.

Our worker just needs to survive the next ibt. I think the roman longbow would reach him if the town wasn't there so we can't afford to abandon it.
It is rather magical how a single worker on the island allows a full scale attack.

Well.... after the war this worker if survives will be a very decorated war hero. :D

EDIT: Hope GMan can play this labor day weekend. Nothing else to do in US anyways these days with gas prices skyrocketed.

Ok to take england and save the ROP rape for later, but please do build the city i just told about to reach Japan. I want at least to have the option to go for Japan right away.

If you can get peace with the Romans to get Replacable parts, then by all means do that. If not, then just keep the war going until AF grahmiam.
If you did get replacable parts, please incite a when you start researching AF. Then i will not have to wait several turns for them to talk about peace (and hopefully giving me ROP) after making a base on their island.
If you can get them to declare, that of course is best, but don't hesitate to declare yourself if they won't do it.

He can't survive, but we could ask our building crew to place a statue on the airfield that is gonna be made from his limbs.

By the way, does anyone know for sure if ROP rape is only possible once?

I think you can do it multiple times in a game, but may have to pay to get a second ROP. Not sure about it. Long time since i did this.

I think it is possible as a part of peace deal (more or less sure)
or as a part of MA against someone else deal (less sure)

:salute: got it. Sorry for the delay, had to seal the driveway, go to the market, and take the kids to the toystore for some Thomas the Tank engine trains (we’re thinking about investing in the wooden tracks $$$ (well, the wife is)). I also got caught-up in my Half-Life2 game last night.

1st item: switch builds to bombers
2nd item: get a settler from somewhere for S, SW of Tarentum
3rd item: raze Chinese and Roman cities on spice island
4th item: finish the game

Oh yeah, somehow swing RP from the Romans and research towards AF.

That it?

Yep, looks like the honey-do list
you can also Re-hire scientists in some ICS cities that will yield us couple of positions in Sci. slider.

I have made some plans for my turnset.

The moment i get Advanced Flight (refered to as turn0), i will use the big picture and change some builds to choppers. I will also use rushbuilds. To get a total of at least 6 choppers on the same turn i get Advanced Flight.

The eastern Roman island is the toughest nut. Two choppers will be used to drop foot units and a worker on the Caesarea island. Some bombers will be used to support these troops in capturing Ceasarea the next turn (turn1). On that second turn, the choppers will rebase to Caesarea. The worker makes an airstrip, and a settler and another worker are then transported to the airstrip.
Turn2, the choppers will drop the settler, worker and remaining foot units on the main roman island. Turn3, i build a city and an airstrip.

Meanwhile, on turn0, i gather 2 or 3 choppers for transporting units to the wester roman island. Turn1, i drop a worker and some foot units on that island. Turn2, i capture the city and and build an airstrip.

Turn3, i try to get peace and ROP with Rome. Both islands are now prepared for ROP rape. This will then be done when enough tanks are available.

Also turn0, i will make a chopper ready for invasion on the Scandinavia and Japanese. These are weaker opponents, i am not yet sure whom of these to take first, probably Scandy. Turn1, these choppers will drop a worker, settler and 2 marines. Turn2, a city with an airstrip and callin the cavalries that are now done with England. Make peace and ROP with Japan and Scandinavia.

Then, I can simultaniously ROP rape the western Roman island with tanks and Scanadinavia with Cavalry. When these are done, the tanks can be transported to the eastern Roman island, and the cavs to Japan. ROP rape on the eastern Roman island will then probably no longer be possible and radar towers can now be used to our advantage.

So what i need is the following:
-When AF comes, i want to be at war with the Romans, japanese and Scandinavia for at least 5 turns or so. (please declare on them before starting AF research)
-Infantry units, or units that can be upgraded to infantry. (maybe you could build some of these in the less productive cities)
-Some cash for rushbuilds and city investigations.
-1 settlers on main land.
-3 settlers on spice island (1 for that city i spoke of earlier, one for landing on Japan and one for landing on Roman ground)

This is all mostly an issue only if you get RP. If we need to research it ourselves, we will still be researching motorized when its my turn.

With the build swich by the way, i mean swiching the builds on the interturn when aquiring the needed tech by using the big picture. If you do this for bombers and Tanks, and i do it for Helicopters, that will make 1 turn difference on our victory date.

Your plan sounds great. I am sure you know ( you do imply it) to build the first choppers in the towns where they are to fly from, so as not to waste a turn rebasing them first.

The Romans will have a lot of troops: we are still weak compared with them. Getting them and Japan at war will be useful. This could also minimize the rather large risk of the Japs having lots of infantry (they have leos for cheap upgrades).

It sounds like you will have the "pleasure" of conducting the main war.

unfortunately, i will have nothing to do the first of my turns :( have to wait for AF before i can start conquering. I sure hope gman is gonna get RP for free, else i will have a boring turnset :p

I will get AF on turn 3 in best case, turn 7 in worst case.
first rape probably about 7 turns after AF, second rape maybe 12-13 turns after AF. So Xevious will have most of the action anyway.

Correction, edited above:

Not 2 settlers on spice island and 2 on mainland are needed.
3 settlers (2 settlers and a city) on spice island and 1 on mainland are needed instead.
-1 city sw tarentum
-1 settler in that city ready to chopper to tarentum
-1 settler on spice island to chopper to rome
-1 settler on homeland to chopper to Japan.

at turn 8, but it's too damn late tonight. we're 2 towns from taking all of the English mainland. Rome has RP, as well as us and Japan. We're at war with Vikings, Rome, and England. Will DoW on Japan before the next turn, but I need sleep to deal with all the subsequent MM'ing required.

I hope you leave something for Wacken... :D You appear to have had a fun turn set so far.

I sincerely hope we bought rep parts. Otherwise all our tech trading in the industrial age will have been a disaster. Infantry in cities are no pushover even for tanks.

I guess we will sell our libraries and universities once we get advanced warfare.

With a lot of cash, golden age and mobilsation we should be able to build tanks quickly (? one turn in good cities with a rushed cheap thing first if required) but it could still take a while to get a large force.

I still think getting the Japs at war with rome would be good.
