What the hell is wrong with you? How can you have a problem with the moderator action taken against you during this thread?

You blatantly attacked the French nation, a mindless nation bash and complain when you get warned for doing so. Why?

I really think you should stop posting things like that, not necessarily because of the moderators, but because it makes you look rather stupid and devalues your opinion rather significantly.

Why exactly are you ashamed of it? Even from a position (like probably yours) that sees France as ingrateful etc. that doesn't make any sense. You may think that it was a waste or something like that, but ashamed?

As for the thread's question:

I'm actually not ashamed of anything connected to the nation, as well as I'm not proud of it. So the premise that "We all tend to focus on the glories of our nations when it comes to reading about its history" doesn't apply. There were alot of good and bad things in the history of this country, but I don't think I can claim the credit or take the blame for any of it.
Nationalism is something I regard as shameful - for the human race.

The Americans entered the European war to fight the Nazis, not to help the French. Is that so very shameful? I thought it was a great cause to fight for.

Between the Nazis and the French, I think the French are a more preferable lot...

our troops died helping to free the fro..french. thats what i'm ashamed of, we should've just skipped france and went straight into germany. i'm not ashamed of fighting the nazi's but of helping some ungrateful sobs. Your statement obviously displayed some resentment towards the French nation. To be ashamed of the action of helping France is in itself shameful.

You might as well have written "I hate the the French". Don't say your original post wasn't indicative of your view of France and that it doesn't make any implications regarding the French. Because it did. And you said this without any listed reason. Though we all know why you said it, and that reason is rather sad.

Oh they loved us in WW1 and WW2 but when they don't need us to help them....maybe its time for france to get another ass kicking so we can come and die for them. Thats what i'm ashamed of.
